Okay...so I started knitting...and knitting...
wasn't I suppose to be making tags and buttons...ooops....

In the car on monday I knit the catepillar scarf....I found those two hours to just play so I knew I could get it done and it was good since I really needed to do something with the new novelty yarns...

And here is the first beth's bag drying....the straps need to be sewn and button put on.....but the second one is now 3/4 finished....

and finally the yarn lulu wants me to make her winter hat and scarf out of...quite a variety, eh? I think i may spin some solid pink stuff to go with it...to break it up a bit...
and I am almost done the hat to match the neckwarmer..and then I must finish the poncho and get ready for the show...it is a little over a week to go...but first I must get through the first day of kindergarten:>

I feel I need to knit this.....soon...mabye october....I am going to use rowan aran instead of cotton angora (heard through the grapvine it pills and sheds like crazy)....I love it!!!!

finally the purse I will be posting the free pattern of on the website at the end of september...it has more burgundy than pictured...a little bigger than I am used to...but it may be purchased anyway....

and finally a picture of my sweet kitty....I finally got a picture of her before she got back on to my lap...

and...beth's bag....It ended up not shrinking as much as the swatch....(I think that is because the swatch had to be washed 3 more times than the purse did to felt)...SO I have to start another one...on the needles now.....ugh...well....atleast I know I can sell this one...

have a good night...off to work on the poncho a bit more....

Okay...so I finally got in some noro I ordered in may....it is #102....and I freaking love it...I have a feeling it is not going out for sale...it is tooo beautious...

I am thinking socks....maybe a purse...i just am going to stare at it for a bit.....

and here is the beginning of a white pocho...was suppose to be for the commission...but she now wants a capella...and since I am 1/4 of the way done..I am going to display it and show what other colors I can make it in for orders...it is wonderful mindless knitting.....

I also have my idea down for new business cards and labels...so I have to get the pieces together for those and make them...I figure the postcards should just be pictures in case people actually want to send them......so...I feel I am making a bit of progress....really:)

so...i took out all of my cardmaking stuff and this week I am making new labels for the yarn and handknits...postcards...business cards....to have a break...so now the office is filled with all my stuff hoping for inspiration to strike...so far it has only been exhaustion and lots of work (our ft college girlie went back this week)....but I am sure it will.....

and...on the needles...new stuff (mind you...haven't gotten any further with the old).....a commission for a capella and a matching bag out of white merino....yeah....

on the good news side....did clean up my fiber stash and the cupboard it is in...and am now going through and reorganizing my books and magazines....so the office will be neat and tidy (am thinking of all the things a kitten will find enticing).....ahh......

Here is some new thick and thin I have been working on...it is so dang soft and fluffy....scary thing is...I have no clue of how many yards I have of each..I will figure that all out when I go to label them....

and here is the tencel and silk combo...and the lucky duck and tencel combo....they are both super soft...and shiny...but I have learned over time...I really do prefer wool...with bits of silk or tencel in it..but as a yarn all by itself...I like the feel and the give that wool has...

I feel as if I should have accomplished more....but when I look at the figures for the store and see that we have had some of our best days so far...I can't complain...hey....money coming in is great...and after all...this is my first craft fair...it can always get better from there...and who knows...maybe people may not want what I have to offer....maybe they want more finished stuff than yarn...I have to stop stressing out and let myself enjoy...and go from there....(big deep breath).......

And tonight....spinning outside for a bit...we close earlier on Sundays...so maybe I can get out and enjoy...wooo hooo.....

I am still working on the silk/tencel yarn...I am on the silk ply now..the tencel took up one bobbin. I am going to have to ply it on the country spinner or else I am going to get two skeins instead of one. It is so very shiny...I am afraid it won't photograph well. Will find out tomorrow. It is wonderfully soft..too...

Okay...I have been spinning every spare second I have (which mind you isn't much)...tonight I am working on some tencel plied with silk.....tomorrow when the light is better I will have pictures.....

I am also changing my website tomorrow. I am going to only offer the handspun...so if you want any...make me an offer since it is going on sale to make way for new at the end of September....

and...here is my new buddy...he will be arriving in the middle of october...his name is Ralphie...and I am sooo excited...

he will hopefully lose all his hair...or atleast maintain a brush coat...if he does he should be a top show cat...he is a peterbald...stay tune for sweaters for hairless cats..ha ha....(I already have a peterbald named princess)....

Okay...so I have been trying to knit away this week...what have I accomplished? I have finished the reworked neckwarmer....pictures when I create the hat (yarn to be spun this week)....and I should finish beth's bag tonight.....and that is it...

Tomorrow I am going to prep the fiber for spinning...and then tuesday will begin a week of wheel time...I am excited...I have some wonderful dyed merino...some natural dyed merino...some alpaca...some odds and ends...and I am going to ply some with some commercial yarns for some fun texture.....Yeah!!!!!

(Can you tell I really want to spin...)

Okay...it is delightful.....every time a sample gets done (of the kits)...it almost immediately sells....It is fantastic the stuff is doing so well but it is hard to sell kits without a sample to go by (now mind you, those are selling very well too...but I just hate the feeling of playing catch up all the time).....

So, besides finishing the neckwarmer (which i frogged and then started again..had a better idea).......i have added making another sample scarf or two...and then I am still working on the eyelash scarf and the felted bag for beth...will I get any or all done by sunday???? I hope to god so....even though it is looking mightly slim they will all get done....

that is my game plan....a week of finishing these up...hopefully followed by a week of spinning...

(By the way, thank you so much to hello yarn, my friend Andrea, and Marsha...who have faithfully pledged to make stuff for me to sell at the booth too......without them....my life...and my booth would be empty)

Okay...I can't put the needles down...hell...every size should have a project on them, right????

I started this neckwarmer tonight (there were two lonely skeins just sitting there)...and it should be done tomorrow.... It is soooo fuzzy and soft....wonderful!

I also got the yarn together to make a scarf out of these

One skein is rowanspun dk and the other is eyelash from KFI....I have oodles of the eyelash in the store so I thought we should have some sort of sample made out of it...and since we sell ooodles of scarf kits...why not another...
And now...I am going to knit the neckwarmer in the livingroom...nice night...

So, do you have an old wine rack somewhere needing to be used....mine is in our employee bathroom and I use it as a drying rack for my dyed fibers and yarns...


I also got this wonderful book for 10 cents at the Yankee Barn Sale...woo hoo...score...unfortunately that is the only fiber related goodie I got.....


I spent a better part of the day cleaning up the yarn room at the store...and then grabbing random skiens to make into stuff for the craft sale...I figure it would be a good time to use up some misc. stuff and clean it out.....now hopefully ooodles of stuff will sell (and I will have time to make all the things I am dreaming up...stay tuned....)

Okay...it took me oodles of more time than most humans.....ooodles of help from Miss Hello Yarn...but my weblog looks lovlier than before...thank you!!!! thank you!!!!!!!

Okay...I feel I was a bit sluggish...but the leg warmers are done, right?....and it was a very busy week at the store....

Miss Boo finally put the legwarmers on....and then decided to model the rest of the stuff (hat from hat kit and the long thin scarf kit)...doesn't she look ssooooo excited?

Here is a picture of the legwarmers...sans a model...they are super wonderful chunky.....and not too long....I used all my bits and pieces of my hand dyed handspuns.....


And here is my picture of my handspun that is plied with silk from lucky duck farm.....(and I must admit....I love my new ballwinder...what fun!!!!!!!)


Tonight I am casting on a bag that I need to do for a commission (actually, the first of three I need to complete...yikes)......and I am hoping to get a bit of spinning in......and maybe some knitting too on the poncho....

tomorrow will be pictures of completed projects from my kits...(the beanie hat and the thin scarf)....and my loverly employee knitted them...I figured out there is ooooooodles of extra yarn and she could have easily made a second hat or a second scarf.....something for me to think about.....

Okay...it isn't the legwarmers...(miss beastie would not model them for me...maybe tomorrow...did get all the ends sewn in...yeah!!!!)
but here is the absolutely beautiful fiber I am spinning from luckyduckfarm....I love it...pygora, silk, and wool......I plied a bunch of it with silk and then I am making a skein with it plied against itself.....mmmmm

Okay....I am finally up and running on the site...I need a little realignment...but it is a start..so bear with me while I work out the bugs and update it.....

On the needles

1. poncho out of rowan cotton braid (40% finished)
2. dog sweater (60% finished)
3. monmouth cap (2% finished)
4. legwarmers (99% finished...actually off the needles...need to have the ends sewn in)

need to CO a felted bag tomorrow to get that up and running for a customer....

Come and See!!!! Yankee Craft Day at Yankee Field in Dublin, NH on September 11th....lots of fun and good stuff!!!!!

Need to spin ooooooodles of fiber....dye ooodles....and knit up oooodles of stuff......eeek....wake up and get moving!!!!!!
